Monday Poetry Train #31

Look at post below this one for the Blogoversary contest and ongoing post!
Another old one while i continue to tweak the newer ones.

Choice
The Anima spreads herself wide
Straining, pained
As we thrust ourselves
From between her legs –
Renewed
Reborn
Reclaimed.

No greater power than Choice
In the travesty
Of human life,
We create our own truths
Defining
Or denying
What’s wrong or what’s right.

Close the door on the past
And deny what it would claim,
Recreation
Is salvation
When living is nothing
More than pain.

Thank you everyone that participates in the Monday Poetry Train - you've made the past Thirty-one mondays much more meaningful and enjoyable. Thirty one - can ya believe it?

Everyone is welcome to hop aboard. Make sure you put your blog link above so we can all pop by. There are NO rules. Post poetry or prose or cartoons or something from your WIP. The point is to share the Creative.

I'm SO glad you started the Poetry Train, Rhian. It's helped me redefine my truth in such a wonderful way.

Ya might want to not visit until the hangover's set in... You and RP can commiserate, then.

Me, I think it's bronchitis. I'm back to the couch.

Happy Blogoversary Rhian!

Perfect choice of poem for a 'birthday'. It's theme of renewal and transformation is one of my favorites as it has seemed to be the defining theme of my life. I often wonder if my middle name, Renee, has anything to do with that. Like being tagged by the Universe for this cosmic meme. :)

Thanx for the ride. It's been a hoot.

Thank you for the comment. The best part & something that I should have mentioned (edit, edit!), is that he took the photo too!

Happy Blogoversary, Rhian!

Wonderful poem. I believe that choice is all-important. While we can't always control what happens to us, we can ALWAYS choose how we react to it. And that makes all the difference.

Wishing you MANY more blogoversaries, my friend!
